In the latest edition of the Hub Talks podcast, viewers will have an exclusive conversation about how startups from Central Eurasia are making their way to the global market and gaining recognition in Silicon Valley.

The guests of the twenty-first episode were Asset Abdualiev, co-founder of the Silkroad Innovation Hub and Silkroad Angels Club in Palo Alto, and Amirkhan Omarov, founder of the Parkour startup. Together with Tanat Uskembayev, Managing Director of Astana Hub, they discussed key aspects of the startup culture in Silicon Valley, the specifics of its differences from the CIS, as well as the strategy of integration into the global ecosystem.

Asset Abdualiyev spoke about the results of the first technology conference Central Eurasia at Silicon Valley 2024 in Silicon Valley, where startups from Central Eurasia attracted the attention of 157 investors, as well as about the achievements of Silkroad Innovation Hub, an innovation center established in 2023 with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan and Astana Hub. He noted that the conference became an entry point for many startups from the CIS to the American market.

"We want Central Eurasia to become a recognizable region for the global innovation community," Asset stressed, sharing plans for the further development of the startup ecosystem.

Amirkhan Omarov, whose company Parkour has been developing smart parking systems since 2020, shared a success story. The startup has become an example of how local technologies can resonate in the international arena. In an interview, Amirkhan spoke about his participation in the AlchemistX & Silicon Valley Residency Program, and also gave advice on how to attract the attention of investors.

"The secret to success in Silicon Valley is not only the idea, but also the community that supports startups at every stage," he said.
