Astana Hub is actively looking for a Filmmaking Workshop Leader at the TUMO Center in Astana. TUMO is an innovative center for continuing education, which allows teenagers to independently pave the way for learning. Founded in 2011 in Yerevan, Armenia, TUMO has since expanded worldwide, opening centers in Berlin, Paris, Lisbon and other cities. At the TUMO Astana Center, students choose from a variety of interdisciplinary fields, including animation, 3D modeling, programming, robotics, cinematography, graphic design, music, game development, drawing and photography, combining independent study with workshops conducted by professionals.

Filmmaking Workshop Leader will conduct workshops, mentor teenagers and evaluate their work in the field of filmmaking. Through hands-on projects, you will help students between the ages of 12 and 18 master cinematography, editing, storytelling, and directing, guiding them in the process of creating their own visual stories.
The key task of Filmmaking Workshop Leader is to effectively organize and conduct filmmaking workshops, guide teenagers in mastering cinematography, editing, storytelling and directing, monitor their progress and attendance, providing support at all stages of training and successful completion of the educational program.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting monthly workshops on filmmaking based on approved training materials and own experience.
- Evaluation of student projects with constructive feedback at the end of each master class.
- Weekly monitoring of self-study progress and provision of personalized recommendations.
- Conducting demonstrations that develop creative thinking and technical skills in the field of cinema.
- Formation of an energetic, open and team-oriented educational environment.
- Participation in the initial training at the TUMO headquarters in Yerevan, Armenia.
- Performing other tasks, if necessary, related to conducting workshops and supporting the center's program.
Qualification requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in film production or a related field (preferably a Master's degree), or at least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent command of Adobe Premiere.
- Knowledge of the basics of nonlinear video editing.
- Experience working with other video editing and post-processing programs will be an advantage (Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
- Skills in working with video equipment: cameras, microphones, lighting equipment.
- Experience working with directing and staging scenes.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, oral and presentation speech in Kazakh and Russian; knowledge of English at least B1 is mandatory.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- A portfolio with examples and completed projects.
