We are Mango Development, an Astana Hub resident. Alongside custom development, we build our own product, Wa-Pa-Pay — a digital loyalty program for independent coffee shops. Below is how it works, which integrations we need, and the formats in which we are ready to work with partners.
The ideaThe paper stamp card appeared in the 19th century and has barely changed since. It works: the guest sees progress and comes back more often. But it has a built-in flaw — all the information stays in the guest's pocket. The owner does not know how many people actually carry the cards, who reached the free cup, who stopped coming. Promotions are decided blind.
We moved the same mechanic into digital form without making it harder for the guest. They still just come in and check in, while the coffee shop gets data it can rely on.
How it works• The guest checks in with a QR code at the counter. Sign-up is by phone number, with no forms to fill in.• The visit is recorded as a transaction with a timestamp and a point of sale, and the stamp appears in the guest's card automatically.• In the web dashboard the owner sees active guests, progress on cards, visit frequency and the people who have not come for a while.• The coffee shop can send notifications to guests. Here we deliberately limit ourselves: no more than one automated push per person per day, and no overlap with the venue's own manual messages — otherwise guests opt out.
StackMobile app — Flutter, backend — Go and PostgreSQL, coffee shop dashboard — Next.js, authentication and push notifications — Firebase. The infrastructure is our own, on an Ubuntu server.
Where we are now• 8 coffee shops use the service• 700+ registered guests• 132 new guests per month• 1,824 transactions per month
Which integrations we need
- POS systems. Today the stamp is given through a QR code at the counter. It would be better for the visit to be recorded straight from the receipt: fewer steps for the barista, more accurate data, and the purchase amount becomes visible. We are interested in Poster, iiko, 1C and local POS solutions.
- Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. A card in the wallet removes the "do I have to install another app" question. This matters in Kazakhstan in particular, where the iOS share is noticeably higher than the global average.
- Payment services. Linking "paid — stamped" without a separate scan looks like the logical next step.
- Coffee roasters and equipment suppliers. Roasters and distributors have dozens of coffee shops as clients, and a loyalty program can become part of their offering rather than a separate purchase.
- Chains and franchises. They need one card across all locations with consolidated statistics — a separate scenario we are working on now.
Formats we are ready to work in• Technical integration via API on both sides, with documentation and a test environment.• A pilot at a few locations: data first, then a decision on scaling.• A joint offering for a partner's clients, where loyalty comes as part of their service.• A referral model.• Sharing experience: partners are as valuable to us as mentors who have already gone from custom development to their own product.
We are open to partnerships with POS systems, coffee roasters, equipment suppliers, chains and franchises.
