Yesterday, the transaction counter on the portal passed the million mark since the beginning of the year. This is a significant milestone for the team, but the round figure alone does not explain anything. I'll figure out what it's made of.
What is considered an operation
Each charge and write-off of the domestic currency. An open chest of the daily series, a completed quest, coins donated to the author, a post read, a comment left. A million such events in nine months is about four thousand per day.
Why is it not about volume
We used to give away gifts for the first likes, posts and comments, but now the car is turned on.
This phrase contains the entire content of the indicator. The activity that is bought with prizes lasts exactly as long as it is paid for: the gift was removed — it disappeared with it, because it was not about the platform, but about the gift.
Where's the trap here
Any growing indicator begins to live its own life over time. A million operations is useful as long as it measures people's participation, not activity for the sake of activity.
Therefore, I follow the figure itself less than its composition: how many meaningful actions like comments and gifts are inside, and how many mechanical clicks. The first means a vibrant community, the second means well—tuned incentives, and nothing more. In the general counter, these two cases are indistinguishable.
What's next
Work on the platform is ongoing, and part of it will be visible soon: the AI & Digital Bridge Forum is taking place in Astana from October 1-3. If you will be at the site, come and we will talk there.
