The path of an unknown molecule. Five hours of HackAlem
Yesterday I wanted to literally shout about it to the whole world.
But I didn't have time to catch this moment. Because in the last few minutes, I didn't write a post, shoot a beautiful video, or tell you how it all turned out. I was trying to finish my work.
That's why I'll tell you today.
I didn't come to HackAlem just to show LUMIVERA QuantumSeal.
It was important for me to check: what happens to my integrated management model if you put it in an unknown environment, give it an unknown task, limited time, strict rules, and a few more problems that could not have been written into the script in advance?
I call this the "unknown molecule" test.
A molecule that enters a new environment and must understand what is happening around it without destroying this environment or losing its own structure.
Before the hackathon, we were given enough information to prepare. Everyone understood their general sector and could roughly imagine the area in which they would have to work.
And then, almost before the start, the organizers held a "Q&A / Q&A" information stream and announced changes in the selection of tracks and tasks.
And it was the right thing to do.
Because a real hackathon is not an exam where you know the ticket in advance.
This is a test of the ability to adapt to the unknown.
And here my real experiment began.
The first problem did not relate to the assignment at all.
The system time on the laptop turned out to be incorrectly set — the difference is about two hours.
What seems like a small thing at home has suddenly ceased to be a small thing inside the digital circuit.
Access rights, tokens, event timing, authorization, and resources all exist in the same time environment. And for the first time, I saw in practice how a small human action can disrupt the work of an entire digital chain.
I had to figure it out and involve a technical specialist.
Then the next invisible problem arose.
After a previous online job, I was logged into the wrong account. Outwardly, everything looked fine: there is a computer, there is an Internet connection, there is an account.
But it was as if I didn't exist inside the right contour.
I didn't see what I was supposed to see at the hackathon.
And again I had to look for the reason.
This is where a very important turning point occurred for me.
I realized that risk is not necessarily a red error on the screen.
Sometimes the system looks absolutely fine, but it is not in the condition required to complete the task.
And for LUMIVERA, this has become a separate practical lesson: you need to be able to see not only an obvious failure, but also a hidden discrepancy in the state of the environment.
A significant part of the established five-hour circuit was spent not on creating an MVP, but on restoring the very ability to work normally.
It was stressful.
But at the same time, it is an ideal test of the stress tolerance of both the person and the system I am creating.
When the technical obstacles were finally cleared, I already had a specific track in front of me.:
03 — Management.
And a specific task:
Career Quest.
And that's when the clean work of the "unknown molecule" began.
It was necessary to understand the customer's problem very quickly, decompose the requirements, determine the minimum working contour, build the architecture, implement the MVP, check it and manage to transfer the solution.
Without a pre-prepared solution specifically for this case.
And here there was a moment that is especially important to me.
LUMIVERA QuantumSeal has ceased to be just an architectural idea based on diagrams.
She started working as a principle.
State → gap → analysis → explicable recommendation → human decision → action → new measured state.
We have built a working Career Quest MVP.
On one of the tests, the system saw the initial condition of the employee — 65% coverage of requirements.
Then she identified the gaps, suggested the next step, and explained it through several factors.
The person confirmed the action.
The system recalculated the status.
65% → 83,3%.
And saved the new result.
For some, it's just two numbers.
For me, it was an artifact.
Because between these numbers was exactly the cycle for which LUMIVERA is being created.:
T0 → Human Decision → action → T1.
And I managed to photograph this moment for my laboratory archive.
After that, the decision was transferred to the platform.
Today it is being evaluated by the jury.
How it will be evaluated is no longer my area of decision.
There is a jury, there are criteria, there is a technical check. And I calmly leave the assessment to them.
For me, another result has already taken place.
When I came to get a higher education and study artificial intelligence tools, initially my task was much simpler.
I wanted to understand what modern AI tools can be used in business so that a business that was once built according to the logic of the 90s could move to a digital environment.
But the more I studied the tools, the more I realized one thing.:
businesses don't always need another new tool anymore.
There are already a lot of tools.
AI models, accounting systems, CRM, analytics, automation, databases, corporate platforms — the ensemble already exists.
But the ensemble needs a conductor.
That's how my current focus gradually emerged.:
Economics + Management + Artificial Intelligence = a single managed digital circuit.
Do not replace existing systems.
You can't force a company to throw away everything it already uses.
And learn how to connect existing tools around a specific problem, see the state of the system, find a gap, connect the necessary capabilities and leave the final decision to the person.
That's why HackAlem turned out to be much more than just a competition for me.
It was a laboratory.
Laboratory of human thinking.
Laboratory of AI models.
Laboratory of technical risks.
Laboratory of management in conditions of uncertainty.
And perhaps the most important thing is the laboratory of human and artificial intelligence interaction, when both are forced to adapt in almost real time.
I sincerely thank the organizers of HackAlem, Astana Hub, and the team of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, who created this platform and gave us the opportunity not just to talk about ideas, but to test them in a real limited way.
Thanks to the technical specialists of the site, who had to help me deal with those problems that could not have been seen in advance.
And I would like to say a special thank you to my digital partner, LUMI, based on OpenAI GPT.
It was a very unusual interaction experience for me.
When conditions changed around me, time ran out, technical obstacles appeared, and I had to simultaneously maintain the requirements of the task, architecture, and safety of actions, LUMI helped me maintain the structure.:
requirement → verification → Evidence → Human Decision.
The code can be written by a machine.
But it's still up to the person to determine what exactly she's allowed to do, why she's doing it, and what decision to make after the result.
This is probably what became the main conclusion of my HackAlem.
I didn't have time to talk about all this beautifully yesterday.
I chose something else — to fly to the finish line.
And today I can say:
An unknown molecule has passed its first real stress test.
Not perfect.
Not without problems.
But she adapted, maintained manageability, built a working MVP, and reached the point where the decision was made by the HackAlem system and submitted for evaluation.
And we will find out very soon what the jury will see in this molecule.

Career Quest.
LUMIVERA QuantumSeal
Career Quest MVP.
Evidence → Human Decision.
