Data DevOps Engineer

Brief Description

We are seeking a driven and highly skilled Data DevOps Engineer to support the development and operationalization of an on-premises Data Platform and ML models.

You will work on implementing and optimizing infrastructure automation, multi-tenancy, and unified management capabilities. Join us to contribute to a cutting-edge data platform and advance your DevOps career.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure platform components ensuring seamless integration with the Enterprise Data Platform stack

• Set up Role-Based Access Control to enforce granular permissions and security best practices

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or similar tools to automate build, test, and deployment processes

• Integrate infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform into pipelines to enable Infrastructure as Code and ensure repeatable deployments

• Design and deploy logging and monitoring mechanisms leveraging the LGTM stack for comprehensive observability

• Build and configure a Single Management Console for centralized Enterprise Data Platform management

• Establish and support multi-tenancy capabilities for independent and secure environments across locations, users, and teams

• Automate deployment pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and querying frameworks

• Manage infrastructure underpinning the platform ensuring scalability, high availability, and reliability using Kubernetes and Red Hat OS

• Implement and enforce security policies using HashiCorp Vault and Open Policy Agent for access control and compliance

• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot platform components to deliver reliable, high-performance systems

• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to streamline release processes and promote continuous delivery

• Work closely with the customer’s technical team to align goals, resolve issues, and meet key milestones

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure and operations tools with at least 3 years in Data DevOps roles

• Demonstrated ability with infrastructure automation and orchestration technologies including Terraform and Kubernetes

• Background in managing on-premise and hybrid cloud infrastructure environments

• Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems and Red Hat OS

• Hands-on experience supporting infrastructure for machine learning platforms and data pipelines

• Proficiency in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or similar tools

• Practical knowledge of security policy implementation with HashiCorp Vault and Open Policy Agent

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• High level of independence and reliability in work performance

• Focus on results with accountability for project deliverables

• Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, high-pressure settings

• Effective communication skills to engage with technical teams and stakeholders

• English language proficiency at B2 Upper-Intermediate level

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Spark

• Knowledge of MinIO and Apache Iceberg

• Familiarity with Trino distributed SQL query engine

• Experience with LGTM stack components (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)
