Main requirements
We are looking for an experienced Storage Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- High-Performance File Systems: Deploy and tune Amazon FSx for Lustre and Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP to provide POSIX-compliant scratch space for cloud workloads
- Data Orchestration: Implement automated data movement and synchronization between on-premises parallel file systems (GPFS/Lustre) and Amazon S3 using AWS DataSync or S3 File Gateway
- Lifecycle Management: Define data tiering policies to move aging research data to cost-effective archives like S3 Glacier Deep Archive or data exports
- Performance Tuning: Optimize I/O patterns for distributed applications to maximize throughput and minimize metadata contention
