About the company

InfoLesson.kz is an educational platform for teachers in Kazakhstan. The site is used by more than 100,000 users every day.

We help teachers share their research, earn money from their own materials, take advanced training courses, and develop professional skills.

The company is a separate legal entity and a resident of Astana Hub.

We are currently strengthening our technical team and looking for a developer intern who wants to develop in backend development and gain practical experience in an EdTech project.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a novice developer who knows the basics of PHP and wants to develop into a real commercial project.

You will work with the product and technical team, assist in the development and support of the platform. InfoLesson.kz as well as gradually immerse yourself in the architecture of a large educational website.

Requirements

basic knowledge of PHP;
understanding the basics of OOP;
basic knowledge of MySQL;
understanding HTML, CSS, JavaScript will be a plus.;
the desire to develop in backend development;
willingness to learn and work with a mentor;
attentiveness and responsibility.

That would be a plus

educational or pet projects;
basic understanding of Git;
getting to know Symfony or Yii;
interest in education;
knowledge of the Kazakh language.

What you will do

What you have to do

perform small backend development tasks;
to assist in the maintenance and refinement of the website functionality;
work with PHP and MySQL;
correcting mistakes under the guidance of a mentor;
study Symfony/ Yii and other project technologies;
participate in task testing;
work with technical specifications and instructions;
gradually take on more complex tasks.
