QA engineer

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of Python
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, understanding relational databases
• Proficiency in Postman and Swagger - Log and metric analysis skills through ELK, Grafana - Ability to work with network sniffers
• Understanding application architecture (monolith, micro services)
• The experience of pairwise testing

Working with the test documentation:

• The ability to write test cases, checklists, bug reports, scripts and reports
• Knowledge of testing techniques and types
• Knowledge of the testing pyramid

Automation and workload (preferably):

• Experience working with Selenium, writing tests on pytest / unittest
• Load Testing Skills (JMeter,Locust)

Methodologies and processes:

• Knowledge of Agile approaches, experience working with Jira
• Understanding processes, artifacts, and stages of development
• Basic understanding of OOP and design patterns

• Ability to write test cases, checklists, bug reports, scripts and reports
• Knowledge of testing techniques and types
• Knowledge of the testing pyramid

Responsibilities

Functional and technical testing

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and pairwise application testing
• Testing the REST API using Postman and Swagger (checking endpoints, response codes, and edge cases)
• Analyze logs and metrics of the system through ELK and Grafana to identify the causes of failures
• Use network sniffers to analyze network traffic and diagnose problems with service interactions.
• To test the interaction of components in the application architecture (monolith/microservices), taking into account the specifics of inter-service interaction
• Check the correctness of working with the PostgreSQL database, write SQL queries for data verification

Working with test documentation

• Develop and maintain requirements-based test cases, checklists, and test scenarios
• Create bug reports with a clear description of the playback steps, expected and actual results.
• Prepare test reports for the team and the customer
• Apply various techniques and types of testing (boundary values, equivalent partitioning, exploratory testing, etc.)
• Build test coverage based on the principles of the testing pyramid (unit → API → UI)

Automation and load testing (if possible)

• Develop and maintain autotests using Selenium, pytest/unittest
• Perform load testing using JMeter or Locust, analyze the results and identify performance bottlenecks.
