Platform Engineer

·       Practical experience working with Kubernetes and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

·       Practical experience in designing, deploying, and operating AWS-based systems.

·       Strong experience building CI/CD processes using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including pipeline migration and workflow standardization.

·       Experience working with GitOps tools such as Argo CD.

·       Experience in secret management using Vault.

·       Experience working with monitoring and Observability tools such as Prometheus, Splunk or Honeycomb.

·       Practical experience in using engineering metrics to improve the platform or optimize development processes.

·       Confident use of AI development tools in everyday engineering work.

·       Programming experience in at least one programming language.

·       Proven experience in mentoring and technical development of other engineers (without acting as a manager or architect making top-down decisions).

·       Proven experience in not only using infrastructure management tools, but also developing internal platforms and tools based on them.

·       Design and develop internal CLI tools (command line tools) and automation tools, mainly in Go.

·       Plan and execute migration CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins on GitHub Actions.

·       Standardize and maintain reusable CI/CD processes (workflows) within the framework of the Golden Path platform (standardized development path).

·       Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to design, deploy, and operate AWS infrastructure based on Amazon EKS.

·       Implement GitOps practices using Argo CD for automated application delivery.

·       Implement observability and Reliability practices using monitoring and alerts based on SLO (Service Level Objectives).

· Use data from Engineering Metrics platforms to identify and prioritize platform improvements.

· Work closely with the engineering teams to help them implement the platform, train users, and provide technical support.

·       Participate in duty duties if necessary (on-call) according to the UK time zone.
