Cybersecurity Teacher

Main requirements

The IT STEP Computer Academy has been educating children, teenagers and adults in digital professions for more than 25 years. In connection with the expansion of the team, we invite a cybersecurity teacher who is ready to share practical knowledge.

At least 1 year of IT experience; practical experience in software development or working in information security
Confident knowledge of one or more languages: Python, Java, C++, C#; JavaScript is an advantage
Algorithms and data structures, OOP, working with API, client-server architecture
Databases: SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite
Fundamentals of Information and Network security, OSI model and TCP/IP stack, cryptography, OWASP Top 10, Secure Coding, Ethical hacking
Understanding the work of Firewalls, VPNs, antiviruses, IDS/IPS
Tools: Git, GitHub/GitLab, VS Code, PyCharm, VMware/VirtualBox, Linux (Ubuntu, Kali Linux); Docker — advantage
Ability to work with children and teenagers, competent speech
Teaching experience, certificates or a portfolio is an advantage

What you will do

Conduct theoretical and practical classes on programming and cybersecurity
To teach children, teenagers and adults according to the educational program of the academy
Develop and conduct laboratory work, mini-projects, and homework
Check the work and give feedback
Prepare students for competitions, Olympiads and project activities
Participate in the development of educational programs
