Social Leaders of Pavlodar: Tenth-Graders Participate in the International Beginit Project

On September 27, the qualifying round of the international project Beginit Central Asia by inDrive took place at the Pavlodar Youth Initiatives Development Center. The program, aimed at cultivating the next generation of social leaders in Kazakhstan, provides students with opportunities to learn social leadership skills and implement initiatives that address local challenges throughout the school year.

Beginit offers high-quality education with a focus on supporting talented students from Kazakhstan's regions. This season, the program spans 10 regions, providing tenth-graders with the chance to develop leadership competencies and transform their ideas into real projects.

The event in Pavlodar attracted around 100 students from the region, along with their parents, teachers, and participants from previous seasons. Notable attendees included Nursipat Tyulyubay, regional manager of Pavlodar Hub, and Samat Sayakov, coordinator of Beginit Central Asia by inDrive.

At the press conference, coordinator of the project Samat Sayakov emphasized, “Our goal is to identify and support teenagers with the potential to become agents of positive change in their communities. We aim to help them realize their ideas and make meaningful improvements to their surroundings.”

During the qualifying round, students completed tasks designed to assess their leadership potential. They also explored the role of social leaders and the importance of developing these skills. The participants engaged in discussions on social project ideas, exchanged views on current challenges, and took tests to determine who would advance to the next stage.

Successful candidates will participate in an educational module, where they will learn the principles of social leadership and the value of civic engagement. They will develop and present projects aimed at improving their communities and have the opportunity to visit innovation centers at Astana Hub’s regional offices, a key partner of the project.

"Pavlodar Hub plays a pivotal role in nurturing the local IT community, serving as a center for innovation and technology. We organize training programs, hackathons, and pitch sessions to enhance IT skills and support young talent. Through Beginit, we offer a platform for participants to exchange ideas and create impactful projects, with mentoring support provided to all," said Nursipat Tyulyubay, regional manager of Pavlodar Hub.

The Beginit Central Asia by inDrive program allows students to join a dynamic, innovation-focused community of young social leaders. The best finalists will receive invitations to the Foundation Year program at inVision U University, and could also win educational trips abroad, UNT preparation courses, and laptops.
