Tech is the Future: Kazakhstan Shares IT Expertise with Tajikistan
Through the Tech Orda program, implemented by the international tech startup park Astana Hub, 100 citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan have successfully completed training in information technology. The program, aimed at developing key tech skills, was conducted across six accredited schools in Kazakhstan.

The courses covered in-demand areas such as web development, cybersecurity, Python programming, FullStack development, C#, and Data Science. The acquired knowledge equips graduates with practical tools to begin careers in the digital economy.
“Training citizens of Tajikistan under Tech Orda demonstrates how Kazakhstan's educational initiatives can significantly boost digital skills within the region. Since launching in 2021, we have provided more than 9,000 grants, and in 2024 alone, applications surpassed 35,000, underscoring a strong demand for quality IT education. Projects like these create new career opportunities for youth and strengthen international cooperation in technology and innovation,” highlighted Aziz Tleumuratov, Managing Director of Astana Hub.
One participating school, nFactorial School, trained 17 students from Tajikistan. The nine-month program consisted of two modules: Java programming basics and web development using JavaScript with the React library. Training involved self-study of prepared materials, regular online mentoring sessions, and practical tasks.
“Despite the demanding workload and intensive pace, the students showed remarkable engagement. By the end of the course, they confidently coded in two languages and began to view programming as an accessible and achievable career. Participating in this program was pivotal for us: we gained valuable feedback, understood how to adapt our teaching methods for an international audience, and confirmed the effectiveness of our approach beyond Kazakhstan,” emphasized Ulzhan Amenova, Program Manager at nFactorial School.
Training also took place at other Kazakhstani IT schools, including QWANT LIMITED, Outpere, MENTORY EDUCATION LIMITED, JustCode, and Cyberlabs.
Tech Orda is a funding initiative for private IT schools in Kazakhstan, offering grants of up to 600,000 tenge per student. This unique opportunity targets Kazakhstani citizens aged 18 to 45, enabling them to acquire tech skills. The program operates with support from Kazakhstan's Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry.
