The program provides grants of up to 500,000 tenge for training at private IT schools across Kazakhstan. This isn’t just financial support — it’s a real chance to build a career in one of the most promising industries and reach a new level of professional growth. Today, we share stories of graduates who transformed their lives thanks to Tech Orda.
Aruna Sabyr studied political science, completed a master’s degree in public administration, and worked for several years at a university. But her desire to explore the IT field grew stronger.
“I had tried online courses before, but often quit. Tech Orda attracted me with its structured approach, mentor support, and the opportunity to study on a grant. My life changed dramatically; I became a backend PHP developer. Without this program, I probably wouldn’t have dared to take such a step,” she says. Thanks to the program, Aruna completely changed her profession. Today she works at Meteoro Ai and is confidently building her career in IT.
Aliya Rakisheva earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics at SDU, worked as a tax consultant at KPMG, and later decided to dive into data analysis. When she learned about Tech Orda, she chose the Data Science track.
“I was drawn by the wide choice of IT schools and the fact that the training was fully funded. I wanted to strengthen my Data Science knowledge and learn how to apply it in practice. The most valuable skill I gained was the ability to turn raw data into clear metrics and actionable business insights,” Aliya recalls.
During the course, Aliya participated in team projects and workshops, gaining important teamwork experience. Mentors played a key role by supporting students and helping them handle complex tasks. Right after completing the program, Aliya got a job at Freedom Insurance as a Junior Data Scientist.
Bayashat Tokmukhamet learned about the program from friends while studying in his fourth year at KBTU. For him, the biggest advantage of Tech Orda was the opportunity to get training at an IT school for free.
“The atmosphere at the IT school always motivated us to learn. In the sixth month of the program, I started preparing for an internship at EPAM, and soon I was accepted into an international project. The program not only gave me knowledge but also valuable connections and a new circle of peers. The key is not to be afraid to try and to stay open to new things,” he says. Today he works at EPAM Solutions as a Junior Software Engineer, and among his projects are shanyrak.kz and Fox Paper, available on GitHub.
The stories of Aliya, Aruna, and Bayashat are just a few of the hundreds of examples of how Tech Orda helps Kazakhstanis switch careers, find in-demand jobs, and grow in the IT industry.
Applications for the new Tech Orda 2025 batch are open until September 3 on the Astana Hub platform. Additional information is available by calling 1818.
