Contestants aged 20 and above from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan will take part in the competition. The online qualification round will be held on February 28, while the final will take place on March 27, 2026, in an offline format in Shymkent.
Special attention this year is given to the invited expert program. Among the guests of the final are representatives of international technology companies, including senior developer at Meta, Bakytzhan Baizhikenov; CEO of AGI Lab and Khan Group, Zhomart Sadykov; VP for Talent at Higgsfield AI, Dalida Yerkuliyeva; senior developer at Google, Aman Utemuratov; developer at Booking, Narikbi Maksut; and a representative of TON Core, Alexander Kirsanov. With the participation of leading industry experts, the program will create a platform for professional dialogue, knowledge exchange, and discussion of career opportunities in global technology companies.
The total prize fund amounts to KZT 3 million: first place will receive KZT 1.5 million, second place KZT 1 million, and third place KZT 500,000.
The competition will be held in an individual format, allowing each participant to demonstrate their algorithmic and analytical skills on international-level problems in the ICPC style. The top three participants from each country will advance to the final, along with an additional 25 contestants with the highest scores who did not qualify through national quotas. Thus, the final stage will bring together the strongest representatives of the region.
Participation in the championship is free of charge, and the organizers will cover travel expenses of up to KZT 100,000 as well as accommodation for finalists.
“For us, it is important that the championship becomes not only a competition, but also a point of attraction for a strong regional technology community. We are creating a platform where talented developers can showcase themselves, receive feedback from international experts, and establish direct connections with the industry. The Central Asia Programming Championship is a contribution to the development of a new wave of engineers in Central Asia,” noted Adina Magavina, Director of the Alem.ai Foundation.
The organizers emphasize that participation in the championship offers far more than just prize money. Programmers will have the opportunity to test their skills on complex algorithmic challenges, attract the attention of leading IT companies in the region and globally, expand their professional network, and potentially receive job offers from the championship’s partners.
The championship is organized by the Alem.ai Foundation, the Federation of Sports Programming of Kazakhstan, and Astana Hub. It is held with the support of Higgsfield.ai and AGI Lab.
The timing of the championship symbolically coincides with the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence declared in Kazakhstan, highlighting the country’s strategic focus on high-tech development, support for the IT community, and the formation of a new generation of engineers.
