Schoolchildren Explore the World of IT: Astana Hub Hosts Educational Tour for Children’s Day

Astana Hub welcomed high school students for a special tour organized as part of the national Cyber Túmar campaign, an initiative of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event aimed to boost digital literacy and introduce students to in-demand careers in the tech sector.

The tour began with a welcome video message from Minister Zhaslan Madiyev and a presentation on the work of Astana Hub. The students also learned about the future alem.ai International Center for Artificial Intelligence, which will offer cutting-edge educational approaches in AI and digital technologies.

“It’s important to spark interest in technology from a young age. Early exposure to the digital environment plays a key role in preparing the next generation of IT professionals. Today, students explored the Astana Hub ecosystem and learned about educational opportunities — including TUMO Astana, the first digital and creative technologies center for teens in Central Asia, which will open this fall. The free program will cover 11 disciplines, from generative AI to design and robotics. Initiatives like this inspire young people and help them find their own path to self-realization,” said Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub.

The students also visited Tomorrow School — Kazakhstan’s first AI-focused school founded by Astana Hub. The team presented its unique peer-learning model based on project work and teamwork, with no traditional teachers. Students were introduced to available tracks, selection criteria, and long-term education prospects.

Particular attention was drawn to presentations from several promising startups:

  • Beyimtech – an EdTech startup creating AI-powered tools for personalized learning. Its products include the educational network Beyim.ai and the exam platform Beyim Synaq, used by over 50,000 students. These solutions have been adopted by the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools and are now expanding into the UAE and UK markets.
  • RocketTech – an educational project focused on developing the aerospace industry in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The team has organized seven national competitions in model rocketry, drones, and satellite technologies. In addition to research activities, RocketTech actively promotes aerospace education among young people.
  • Hearo – an inclusive platform for learning International Sign Language and winner of Pizza Pitch 2025. The project was founded by a 14-year-old student, proving that big ideas know no age. Her initiative demonstrates how technology can address real social challenges and inspire peers.

The event was part of the broader Children of Kazakhstan initiative and highlighted how digital technology is already opening real opportunities for the personal and professional development of Kazakhstani youth. Events like this help teenagers not only understand the power of digital tools but also find their path in the careers of the future.
