In response, the MDDIAI initiated the Tech Orda program, piloted at Astana Hub in 2021, aiming to train 20,000 tech professionals. Under this program, more than 3,000 specialists are expected to be trained annually, with each student eligible for state support of up to 600,000 tenge.
This year, 79 Kazakhstan's tech schools and one tech company have been accredited to train specialists through the Tech Orda program, offering 178 courses in high-demand areas like web development, 3D design, AR/VR applications, OS development, cybersecurity, IoT, AI, mobile app development, Big Data, and GameDev.
The program’s results in 2022 and 2023 underscore its value in building a skilled workforce. To date, 91 schools have trained 6,251 students, with over 40% of schools and 46% of students from various regions, furthering the development of tech education nationwide.
Statistics show that 88% of program graduates are successfully employed, earning an average salary of about 500,000 tenge. Alumni have secured roles in major companies such as Kaspi.kz, Halyk Bank, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Tengizchevroil, KazMunaiGas, Freedom Finance, Kcell, Air Astana, Kolesa Group, and other leading organizations.
The Tech Orda program remains a central part of Kazakhstan's strategy to develop human resources in tech, offering Kazakhstanis new professional growth opportunities and supporting advanced teacher training.
