The grand final of one of Central Eurasia’s largest startup initiatives took place on December 12–13 in Tashkent, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, and IT Park Ventures.
Digital Startup Awards is a large-scale international program with a total prize fund of $1 million, aimed at supporting innovative projects and fostering entrepreneurship across the region. In 2025, the competition brought together startups from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, and Mongolia, as well as projects from Uzbekistan within the Best Startup Project track.
A total of 1,025 applications were submitted. Following a multi-stage selection process, semifinals, and mentoring sessions with international experts, 51 startups advanced to the final. The finalists represented a wide range of sectors, including AI, SaaS, FinTech, EdTech, GovTech, E-commerce, as well as projects focused on sustainability and creative industries.
Multicode is an AI-powered B2B SaaS platform designed for freight railcar operators. It helps optimize operational processes and improve the efficiency of railway logistics management. The project was founded by Anuar Sarsembinov.
Multicode’s solution received high praise from the international jury, which included representatives of venture funds and accelerators from the United States, South Korea, Oman, Egypt, and the Czech Republic.
The Digital Startup Awards program has become an important growth driver for the Central Eurasian startup ecosystem, demonstrating that technology teams from the region are capable of building globally competitive solutions. Multicode’s victory highlighted the strong potential of Kazakhstani startups and their readiness for international scaling.
