Kazakhstan Launches QazCoders – a National AI-Powered Learning Program

Astana Hub has officially launched QazCoders, a new nationwide educational initiative that offers free online training in IT and artificial intelligence (AI) to residents of Kazakhstan. The program is open to everyone, regardless of age or background, and is hosted on a leading international online platform.

The official launch took place at AlmatyFair.ai, Kazakhstan’s largest AI-focused exhibition. The dedicated QazCoders session featured Tanat Uskembayev, Managing Director of Astana Hub, and Ahmed AlKaabi, Chargé d’Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Kazakhstan. Abdullah Nasser Lootah, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, delivered a video address to attendees, emphasizing the initiative’s importance for future generations.

“This event marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation. Today, we are not just launching a program—we are launching the future. I want every participant to know: you are becoming part of something truly meaningful. The skills you gain here are not just about coding or technology. They are keys that open doors to a world of opportunity. Pursue this path with enthusiasm and passion—because you have something to give, because your country deserves the best, and because the future is waiting for your ideas and energy,” said Abdullah Nasser Lootah.

Continuing the session, Tanat Uskembayev underscored the program’s significance for Kazakhstan’s IT sector and its contribution to building a robust national digital ecosystem.

“Programming, data analytics, mobile development, and AI fundamentals are not just trends—they are essential skills for the digital economy. Mastering these areas opens up vast opportunities for young professionals and career switchers alike. The program places special emphasis on AI training, which reflects Kazakhstan’s strategic goal of building strong national competencies in this critical field. QazCoders is a vital step in that direction,” said Tanat Uskembayev.

The QazCoders curriculum includes four foundational courses hosted on the Udacity platform: Intro to Programming, Android App Development with Kotlin, Data Analysis, and AI Foundations. Each course is delivered entirely online, designed to be completed in 6–7 weeks, and culminates in a certification.

Participants will benefit from access to subject-matter experts, a peer learning community, and technical support. An AI-powered assistant developed by Udacity will also be available for real-time guidance.

QazCoders is implemented as part of a broader partnership between Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates, built on the mutual exchange of advanced technologies and expertise. The program is a continuation of the AI Movement—Kazakhstan’s national initiative to foster innovation and AI development.
