The project will be piloted at a modern school-gymnasium in Rudny, built under the ERG Mektep program, through which the company systematically supports educational and social initiatives. Safe Schools integrates advanced monitoring and prevention technologies to identify signs of bullying, cyber threats, vaping, depression, and suicidal ideation among students. The system analyzes data in real time and, upon detecting alarming signals, promptly notifies parents and teachers—helping prevent incidents before they escalate into crises. In emergency situations, an SOS button is activated, instantly transmitting geolocation data and enabling rapid assistance.
“For ERG, it is important not only to build infrastructure and create jobs, but also to protect the future—our children. Safe Schools turns the school into a space where a child can grow and develop without fear,” said Anastasia Kruch, Deputy General Director for People and Culture at ERG Kazakhstan.
“Our mission is to ensure that every child feels safe, wherever they are. Safe Schools is not just a technology—it is a tool that can save lives,” said Aruzhan Mede, Founder and CEO of AMAN.
According to data from UNICEF and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, one in five schoolchildren in Kazakhstan experiences bullying or participates in it. At the same time, digital threats and cyberbullying continue to grow, making safety issues critically important for every school.
The pilot project, which will run through the end of 2026, positions the Rudny gymnasium as a model of how modern technologies and well-designed safety tools can create a school where every child can learn, develop, and feel protected.
It is worth noting that the new-generation school-gymnasium for 1,200 students officially opened in Rudny in September last year. It is the third school built by ERG in Kazakhstan over the past three years. With a total area exceeding 19,590 square meters, it is one of the largest schools within the Keleshek Mektepteri project. The gymnasium will also become the country’s first “green” school. Over the past several years, ERG has invested more than KZT 15 billion in the development of school education under the ERG Mektep program.

The ERG school represents a fully realized “school of the future” model, capable of serving as a benchmark and pilot platform for other educational institutions. It is an integral part of the Group’s long-term sustainable development strategy.
The new gymnasium is not merely a modern educational facility, but a carefully designed ecosystem with inclusive architecture, an accessible environment, and a comprehensive safety system. Its foundation is built on principles of ergonomics, environmental sustainability, and energy efficiency.
In addition, as part of a joint project between ERG and the public foundation Teach for Qazaqstan, four experienced STEM teachers have been deployed to Rudny. These educators will serve not only as teachers, but also as innovators, implementing social and research projects to develop school communities.
Previously, ERG fully financed the construction and equipping of two new model schools in the Pavlodar region—in the villages of Karazhar and Sychevka. The company also allocated funds for the modernization of the Ybyrai Altynsarin School with Kazakh-language instruction in Aksu, Pavlodar region, and Gymnasium No. 2 in the city of Khromtau, Aktobe region.
