G5 Games sums up the results of the year

The year 2024 has become eventful and eventful for G5 Games. We are glad to share with you the main results and useful materials.

G5 Games is an international company with offices in 10+ countries around the world, so the geography of our events has covered almost all countries of presence!

At the beginning of the year, especially for Astana Hub, we held a webinar "What metrics will help your team create a successful Free-to-Play (F2P) project?", at which producer Vsevolod Nikitin spoke about the key metrics of a successful F2P project. 

This year we launched our own blog on the Medium platform and have already published a lot of materials on professional topics. We are sure that you will be interested to learn more about the secrets of game development and a career in game development!

The outgoing year also turned out to be rich in gaming conferences. We have participated in several major events at once and are sharing with you recordings of performances.

Our colleagues spoke at the Gyumri Game Conference in Armenia and captivated everyone with their reports. Animator Samvel Saribekyan talked about how animation began and what methods of game animation exist, and also highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of skeletal animation and motion capture.

And creative game designer Arkady Ragzin shared with the participants tips on how to work with ideas, where to look for inspiration and how to present his ideas correctly.

In the summer, we took part in a hackathon on game development from the IT hub "Terricon Valley" in Karaganda. In total, more than 60 teams took part in the hackathon. Everyone could choose one of three cases from partner companies. Our case "Creating a casual game" from UI/UX designer Andrey Lapin was chosen by 35 teams at once!

In the autumn, two large-scale events were waiting for us at once, which we want to share with you.

In Belgrade, we held a game-meeting dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence technologies, which brought together more than 140 industry professionals. The highlight of the program was a panel discussion with invited experts "Neural Networks in game Development: new realities, opportunities, challenges and obstacles", moderated by art director Denis Romanenko.

And the largest art conference BigRenderConf was held in Tbilisi, where our creative art director Roman Kuteynikov spoke. He talked about the future of game development with neural networks and how artists can adapt to new pipelines. And at our stand, you could play G5 games, participate in the lottery and learn about working for the company. 

Neural networks have become a symbol of this year! We were pleased to share with the guests of the events our experience of introducing AI into the graphics creation process, which significantly accelerated production. Thanks to modern technologies, we have managed to shorten the content development cycle and significantly reduce costs.

Immediately after the end of the conferences and meetups, an important reason for celebration awaited us – G5 Games celebrated its 23rd anniversary! On this significant date for us, we entered with an impressive gaming portfolio of 30+ projects that bring joy to 250 million players around the world, and a talented team of 850+ employees – from Kazakhstan to the USA.

In October, we entered the history of the Devcom Indie Awards 2024, the prestigious award of Europe's largest gaming industry conference, one of the sponsors of which was our company.

The ceremony was held in Cologne, where the Chief Marketing Officer of G5 Games, Alexander Bezobrazov, presented an award in the Mobile Marvel category to the winner of the nomination – the Dungeons of Dreadrock project: The Dead King’s Secret».

An important event for the company was the release of a special Financial Times report for November 2024, according to which G5 Games was included in the list of leading companies in Europe for long-term growth. This report, created in conjunction with the Statista portal, celebrates companies with impressive organic growth over the past 10 years. The G5 stood out against the background of high competition and economic instability due to its stable and rapid development. Congratulations! 

And at the end of the year, we implemented a unique project in which the parents and older relatives of our colleagues took part. For several weeks, the project participants studied a new profession for themselves as a QA engineer, and in the end they could be selected for the position of a tester in our company. Very soon we will tell you more about this project and share the feedback of the participants.

Of course, these are not all significant events of this year for our company. For a whole year we worked on new hits and created exciting updates for already released games, we talked and got to know each other at team building, set records together at a sports marathon, did charity work, learned new things, supported and inspired each other ... and that's not all!
