inDrive launches a fixed-cost fare

In the new Fixed fare, there will be no haggling for a ride, the price will be fixed, it will be faster to find a driver, and the driver himself will be able to earn more.

InDrive, a global transportation and urban services platform, has launched a new Fixed urban travel plan. Unlike the standard InDrive model, where the cost of a trip is determined by bargaining between the passenger and the driver, the Fixed fare has a preset price and cannot be changed. Trips will not become much more expensive, but the search for a driver/passenger will be faster. The previous fares, where drivers and passengers could agree on a fair price, will remain affordable.

Convenient for everyone

InDrive's standard operating model, where users bargain for the cost of a trip, has proven to be convenient and in demand worldwide, allowing InDrive to remain the second most downloaded urban travel app in the world for the past three years in a row. The Fixed tariff was launched to meet the needs of users for whom, at a particular moment, it is not the price of the trip that is important, but its speed.

For passengers, the new Fixed fare will be convenient at a time when travel speed is important. They can be sure that the price will match the average market taxi ride, but they won't be able to bargain anymore.

For drivers, the new Fixed tariff will be attractive at an increased cost. They will be able to earn even more.

Commission and availability

The service fee in the new Fixed tariff will remain as low as in other InDrive tariffs – about 10%, while some other players charge from 20% and above. The principle of maintaining a fair commission for its users is embedded in InDrive's mission, according to which the company stands up to injustice.

The new tariff is already available to residents of Karaganda, Pavlodar and Temirtau, but in the future it will be available to all residents of Kazakhstan.

To date, InDrive has several tariffs in different cities of Kazakhstan.:

Comfort - high-level cars, only drivers with a high rating and who have passed an additional photo check are allowed, while cars are not older than four years old.

Hitchhiking - allows drivers to take several passengers at once, and passengers to share the cost of the trip.

No haggling (fixed) - the order is seen only by drivers nearby, haggling is impossible. Suitable for those who appreciate speed and simplicity.

Start is the cheapest fare, convenient for passengers to get to know the app for the first time, while the cost of the trip will be lower than the market price
