Kazakhstan launches AI agents: who will they replace first?

Artificial intelligence is no longer a fantasy, but a tool that changes the approach to business and government management. In the new edition of the Hub Talks podcast, we discuss how AI agents become indispensable assistants — faster, cheaper and more efficient than humans.

On a visit:

  • Dmitry Moon, Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan
  • Dulatbek Ikbayev, Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company in Central Asia
  • The moderator is Alisher Ashekeev, a student at the first artificial intelligence school Tomorrow school in Kazakhstan.

AI agents already take on up to 80% of routine tasks. They can:

  • Communicate with clients and citizens 24/7
  • Automate business processes
  • Reduce costs and accelerate growth

And most importantly, they do not require vacations, work error—free, and scale quickly.

"Two people are now doing the work of five people, and the rest can be redirected to development. This is an increase in efficiency," says Dulatbek Ikbayev.

Kazakhstan is among the countries actively testing AI agents in the field of public services. This applies to everything from typical citizen requests to the automatic processing of requests in digital government resources.

"There is a competition between countries now: whoever implements AI faster will gain a competitive advantage. We definitely see that most of the points of interaction with the state will soon be covered by AI agents," says Dmitry Moon.

The podcast also touches on the ethical side of the issue.: Who is responsible if the AI makes the decision? Where does the benefit end and the risk begin? How to maintain a balance between technology and the human factor?

AI agents are not a threat, but an accelerator of progress. The business that learns how to implement and use them first will become the leader of the new digital world. The states that succeed will increase trust, quality and accessibility of services for citizens.
