Kazakhstani SAC IT Project Ranked Among the Top 5 Global Initiatives according to the WSIS Prizes 2025

The digital project from Kazakhstan, the «Situational and Analytical Complex (SAC)», has been named one of the five finalists in the international WSIS Prizes 2025 competition in the category «The role of governments and all stakeholders in the promotion of ICTs for development».
The competition is held annually by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) with the support of the United Nations.
This year, about 1000 projects from around the world were submitted for consideration. Following the initial selection stage, 360 projects were shortlisted across 18 categories, with 20 projects in each. Five projects per category advanced to the final stage.
Alongside Kazakhstan, the finalists in this category include initiatives from Uzbekistan, Rwanda, Mexico, and the United Arab Emirates.
The SAC project, developed by the Engineering and Technical Centre of the Department of Presidential Affairs, is an innovative digital platform designed for analysis, monitoring, and real-time data management in the public sector. The system operates in real time, ensuring the collection, visualization, and processing of information to support strategic decision-making and oversight of key performance indicators of government agencies.
The platform covers more than 500 indicators across various areas of socio-economic development nationwide, including all 20 regions. The SAC has been implemented and is successfully operating within the Presidential Administration and the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The final selection of the winners will be carried out by an expert panel from the ITU. The results will be officially announced on 8 July 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland, during the WSIS+20 High-Level Event, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the World Summit on the Information Society.
