The Ayan network increased its RTO by 1.37% following the results of the test period with the StorexPM Stepdata solution

Stepdata, a developer of digital retail solutions, has completed a pilot project in the Ayan network, as a result of which the network increased retail turnover by +1.37%.

The test period took place in real-world working conditions and was aimed at improving the efficiency of outlets by automating operational control in the hall and improving business processes.:

  • stop selling the top product range
  • control of virtual balances
  • goods without movement
  • checking the display after the absence of the product in the store
  • instructions from the director and supervisor when going around the trading floor.

Key objectives of the project:

  • Automation of detection and elimination of deviations in the trading floor
  • Reducing employee reaction time to problems
  • Increasing the availability of products on the shelf
  • System work with losses

According to the results of the test, the network received steady growth in sales in selected stores, as well as positive dynamics in terms of the availability of key SKUs on shelves and the speed of error correction.

"We see that the system's prompts really accelerate turnover. For products that previously had sales pauses of up to 5-7 days, sales stops decreased by 2-3 days. This has a direct impact on both turnover and profitability," said Timur Tian, Head of Operations at the Ayan retail chain.

"The introduction of digital control tools has allowed teams to work ahead of the curve. We see that even point adjustments for top products give a noticeable increase in performance, and this is just the beginning of scaling," said Anna Okhalina, Stepdata.

The company is currently expanding the project to all stores in the chain.

The Ayan retail chain actively uses Stepdata digital solutions. Since 2022, the Stepdata business intelligence system has been involved in the work, which visualizes the data of the trading network, helps to quickly respond to deviations, make informed decisions based on numbers and make additional profits. The combination of commercial analytics and operational control has made it possible to achieve a noticeable increase in efficiency.
