With the increasing number of cyber attacks in Kazakhstan, businesses are increasingly facing the risks of hacking and data leaks. According to research from leading companies offering DDoS protection services, in the second quarter of 2024, the number of cyber attacks on CIS countries increased 2.6 times compared to the same period in 2023. Kazakhstan came in second place among the countries of the region, accounting for 8% of all attacks. The attackers used malware most often — 65% of the cases, as well as social engineering methods — 53%. As a result, confidential information was leaked in 35% of attacks.
