"Food and environmental Safety" laboratory

  • Purpose of the laboratory

    In the laboratory of "Food and Environmental Safety", research works are carried out to determine the quality and safety indicators of agricultural raw materials and food products. In 2025, the laboratory was accredited in the accreditation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan for compliance with the requirements of the GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories". The main purpose of the laboratory is: - training and training of highly qualified specialists at the level of undergraduates and PhD doctoral students, internships; - implementation of scientific support of grant, commercialized projects, scientific works of undergraduates and doctoral students of the university. - provision of services for entrepreneurs and farmers to determine the quality and safety of food and feed; - research of all types of baby food products, food raw materials, catering products, food additives, biologically active additives, animal feed for compliance with safety and quality requirements in three directions: - organoleptic studies; - physical and chemical indicators; - determination of toxic components.

    Determination of the content of metals: As, Hg, Pb, Cd, Zn, Cu, Ni, Fe, Mn, Co and toxic Determination of the content of table salt, total nitrogen, protein, fat, moisture - determination of the content of organochlorine pesticides: hexachlorocyclohexane (alpha-, beta-, gamma-isomers), DDT and its metabolites, 2,4-D acid, heptachlor, aldrin; Determination of mycotoxin content: aflatoxin B1, aflatoxin M1, zearalenone, T-2 toxin, patulin, deoxynivalenol, ochratoxin A; Determination of the content of antibiotics; - determination of the fatty acid composition of animal fats and vegetable oils, detection of adulteration of butter.
