Why is the position open?

Launch of a new major product (AI platform). It is necessary to build a voice assistant from scratch that speaks Kazakh like a real person. The team has already put together a demo model that can read text in Kazakh and it's time to continue working further.

, What to do

• To develop Kazakh language processing technologies (NLP, ASR, TTS).
• To work on improving the vocabulary and context of the LLM for the Kazakh language.
• Develop and optimize custom or pre-trained models for speech recognition and synthesis.
• Participate in the creation of a speech-to-speech voice system, from text modules to audio reports.
• Conduct experiments, quickly test hypotheses, and improve the architecture of models.
• Work with speech corpora and unique datasets, including Kazakh ones.
• To contribute ideas and initiatives that affect the quality of the product.

🧩 Requirements

Required

• Work experience in the field of Machine Learning / Deep Learning.
• Knowledge of Python and one of the main libraries: PyTorch (preferably) or TensorFlow.
• Basic understanding of neural network theory, algorithms, and architectures.
• The level of the Kazakh language sufficient for working with texts, corpora and models.
• Self-organization skills, the ability to independently plan and bring tasks to results.
• Willingness to work in a startup environment: quick decision-making, openness to change.
• Proactivity is not just about completing tasks, but also offering solutions, improvements, and experiments.

Desirable

• Practical experience in one of the following areas: ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), TTS (Text-to-Speech) or NLP (Natural Language Processing).
• Experience learning and fine-tuning LLM or transformer models.
• Understanding the principles of the speech pipeline and speech synthesis systems.
• Publications and participation in Kaggle competitions / AI contests will be a plus.
• Interest in the development of technologies for the Kazakh language and culture in general.
