IT Help Desk Intern

Responsibilities

  • Assist with handling Help Desk L1/L2 incidents (under the supervision of experienced specialists).

  • Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate/transfer tasks to the next support level.

  • Configure workstations and peripheral devices (PCs, printers, mobile devices).

  • Install and update software according to provided instructions.

  • Work with the Service Desk system (create, process, and update tickets).

  • Contribute to documenting solutions and creating user guides/instructions.

  • Consult users on common issues and standard requests.

  • Provide on-site office user support (under the supervision of experienced specialists).

Requirements

  • 4th-year students or graduates of a technical university (IT / Computer Science / Electronics).

  • Basic knowledge of Windows (installation, configuration, working with software).

  • Understanding of basic networking principles (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN — at a basic level).

  • Strong desire to grow in technical support and system administration.

  • Attentiveness, responsibility, and strong communication skills with colleagues and users.

  • English sufficient to read technical documentation; certificates are a plus or willingness to take an online test.

Skills (Nice to have)

  • Experience assembling/configuring PCs or participation in academic IT projects.

  • Knowledge of office applications (MS Office, Outlook).

  • Ability to use remote support tools (RDP, Remote Assistance).

  • Understanding of ITIL processes (an advantage, but not mandatory).

  • Basic skills in searching for and resolving common issues (Google, forums, documentation, AI tools).
