Junior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Solve automation-related tasks (scripting, infrastructure and operational processes).

• Collaborate with colleagues from other teams to resolve complex tasks (engineers, developers, QA, architects).

• Prepare and keep working documentation and knowledge base up to date (instructions, diagrams, process descriptions, runbooks).

Requirements:

Networking:

• Knowledge of data transmission protocols and switching/routing protocols.

• Understanding of how a local network and its network devices operate.

• Familiarity with network equipment from various vendors and how to work with it.

*nix-based systems:

• Entry-level knowledge of *nix-based systems (Linux/Unix): basic terminal usage, understanding of file system, permissions, and core utilities.

Automation (entry level; ideally at least one item from each block):

• Data formats & API: XML, JSON, YAML, REST API.

• Programming languages (optional): Python, Bash, Go.

• Automation/IaC tools: Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Nornir.

• Version control: Git.

Cloud technologies (entry level):

• Understanding of data center network design principles.

• Basic familiarity with virtualization/cloud technologies: KVM, OpenStack, ESXi.

Languages:

• English level: Intermediate or higher (for reading documentation and communicating within the team).
