Role overview
The Architect administers and controls design and integration strategies within a specific Netcracker project. The role sets the technical direction and provides guidance to Business Analyst Leads and Development Leads.
Responsibilities:

Work closely with the customer and Netcracker’s architectural technical team to define the architectural approach, data design, and high-level integration interfaces, ensuring project goals are delivered on time and in line with Netcracker standards.

Support evaluation of different integration design options and recommend optimal solutions to meet project needs.

Collaborate with project development teams to analyze, design/improve, and implement mission-critical enterprise-grade integrations, ensuring delivery of software tasks.

Develop, document, implement, and promote the use of relevant integration technologies, APIs, standards, and improvements.

Clearly and consistently communicate key architecture components to assigned teams through presentations and documentation.

Review project charters for technical feasibility, work with the team, and escalate issues to program or portfolio level when needed.

Partner with developers and development managers to ensure successful project implementation.

Participate in Proof of Concept (PoC) activities and research new technologies.

Ensure correct end-to-end integration of the overall solution within the project and maintain future compatibility.

Requirements and experience:
-
Higher education (Master’s degree or above) in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Architecture, or a related field.
-
10+ years of experience, including 3 years of management experience and 3 years of specialized experience in designing and implementing large-scale computer systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
Extensive experience in integration architecture; participation in multiple organizational transformation initiatives is preferred.

Hands-on experience with end-to-end delivery of cloud applications for public and/or private cloud customers.

Telecom project experience is a plus.

Strong communication skills: negotiation, writing strategic documents, creating and delivering presentations for internal business leaders and customers. Ability to facilitate discussions supporting strategic planning and decision-making, and to drive consensus with project/architecture leaders.

Hands-on API design experience (technical specifications for integration contracts, HTTP, SOAP, REST APIs, YANG, XML, JSON).

Hands-on experience designing messaging systems (preparing integration contracts for system communications based on Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, etc.).

Good understanding of Kubernetes principles.

Deep understanding of data models.

Fluent spoken English (Upper-Intermediate or higher).

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Good knowledge of industry SDOs and open-source frameworks for API design, best practices, and guidelines (e.g., TMF Frameworx, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI).
