Astana Hub presented its capabilities at the annual international forum Digital Business Day 2.0

The Astana Hub international technology park for IT startups presented its achievements and opportunities for representatives of the IT industry at the annual international forum Digital Business Day 2.0, organized by the platform for startups and investors Crowdsale Network and the Kazakhstan Blockchain Technology Association.


The event included an NFT exhibition, an auction, networking, and traditional Startup Battle among ten successful Kazakhstani IT projects. Digital Business Day 2.0 is held annually to bring together a community of innovators in the field of digital technologies to discuss current trends in the field of IT entrepreneurship.

The forum brought together over 500 participants on one platform, as well as 18 speakers - IT entrepreneurs, investors, developers, and representatives of the public sector to discuss topical issues of digital development of Kazakhstani society. This year the speakers of the event were Toomas Tiers, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Kazakhstan, Sapar Akhmetov, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Blockchain Technologies, Konyashkin Rostislav, Chairman of the Board of National Information Technologies JSC, Magzhan Madiev, CEO of the Astana Hub international technology park for IT startups, Ermek Rustembek-uly, CEO of the Center for Digital Law, Yersultan Ermanov, Deputy Director of the Department for the Development of Information and Information and Communication Technologies of the MDDIAI RK, etc.

In his speech, Magzhan Madiev, CEO of the Astana Hub international technology park for IT startups, spoke about the programs to support IT entrepreneurs and the current results:

“Our first KPI was to help startups raise $200 million in private investment by 2021. This KPI was met last year, so we set a new goal to help our IT companies achieve $500 million worth of exports of IT services and products annually, starting in 2025.”

Magzhan Madiev also announced the latest data on the residents of the technology park:

“Currently, more than 680 IT companies are participants in the technology park, 80 of them are foreign. Today, about 14,000 people are employees of startups, and in 2021 the total income of residents amounted to 166 billion tenge.”
