Free Data Analysis and Python Course Launches in Kazakhstan
The international tech park Astana Hub, in partnership with the educational platform Yandex Practicum, has announced the launch of a free online course titled “Fundamentals of Data Analysis and Python.” The course is available to all residents of Kazakhstan, regardless of age, experience, or educational background.

The program aims to provide accessible, practical knowledge in one of today’s most in-demand digital professions.
“Our mission is to build a solid foundation for Kazakhstan’s digital future — one where anyone can bring their innovative ideas and digital solutions to life. This course in data analysis and Python is a vital step toward widespread technological transformation. Together with Yandex Practicum, we want to show that acquiring relevant, in-demand skills can be fast, accessible, and engaging. Participants will immediately see the value of their new knowledge and be able to apply it in fields ranging from small business and science to public service,” said Daniya Akhmetova, Managing Director of Astana Hub.
“Recent studies show that the IT industry in Kazakhstan remains one of the most promising career fields, with companies actively competing for top talent. That’s why we believe it’s important to share our expertise and provide free access to digital professions. This way, everyone can discover a career path that fits them and unlock their potential,” added Ilya Kurmyshev, CEO of Yandex Practicum.
The course includes 10 hours of online training and can be completed at a self-paced schedule in Kazakh and Russian. Students will engage with clear and simple theoretical lessons, interactive tasks, and hands-on exercises to apply their new skills. By the end of the program, participants will be able to use the Python programming language, read and interpret graphs, formulate hypotheses, and solve real-world problems across various industries.
To support learners with more complex topics, the course integrates YandexGPT, an AI assistant that helps explain difficult concepts and summarizes key takeaways in a simplified way.
Registration opens on April 18, 2025, on the Astana Hub platform via the link.
