Binance is a leading international blockchain ecosystem and the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange. In 2020, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao was recognized by Bloomberg-50 as one of the most influential people of the year to change the global business landscape.

Bagdat Musin presented the work of the department, spoke about the projects and plans of the department, the eGov.kz platform and the collaboration between the state and business in the provision of public services.

During the visit, Mr. Zhao, known as CZ, visited the Astana Hub International Technopark of IT Startups. The general director of the technopark, Magzhan Madiev, gave a tour and spoke about the domestic ecosystem of technology projects. The leader of the cryptocurrency industry got acquainted with the work of the newly opened Blockchain Center based on Astana Hub and startups Blockchair, iDosGames, ROQED Science, InDriver and Paxaro Labs. In addition, the guests visited the alem programming school and learned about the specifics of learning without teachers.

“Kazakhstan is one of the world leaders in the crypto mining industry, a country that was one of the first in the world to introduce its legalization. We believe that with full cooperation with local authorities, Binance can make a great contribution to the development of the local crypto community and the blockchain ecosystem in Kazakhstan,” said Changpeng Zhao.

The parties discussed the development of the digital asset market in Kazakhstan, as well as the possibility of implementing educational events and projects in this area.

During the visit of Mr. Ch. Zhao, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry and Binance.
