The Minister of Education Explores Astana Hub’s EdTech Startup Projects
The Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gani Beisembayev, accompanied by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiyev, visited the Astana Hub tech park to learn about innovative domestic EdTech startups providing digital solutions in education.
Previously, the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, launched a pilot project for an online educational platform aimed at teaching schoolchildren and teachers the fundamentals of programming. As part of this initiative, 300 teachers and trainers are currently undergoing professional development in areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Game Development.
During the visit, the Minister explored the Tomorrow School project, an artificial intelligence-powered educational platform grounded in the principles of mutual learning. Gani Beisembayev suggested developing an adaptation of this AI school specifically designed for schoolchildren.
The presentation also included other domestic tech services and products designed to enhance safety in educational institutions, build a unified educational ecosystem, offer career guidance for teenagers, and support Olympiad training programs. Among the showcased Astana Hub residents were Oqylyq.kz, WeGlobal.ai, Protector AI, Alaqan, and Omnium.
