New Opportunity for 10th Graders from Kazakhstan's Regions
A new season of the international project Beginit Central Asia by inDrive is launching in Kazakhstan, covering 10 regions across the country. Supported by Astana Hub international technology park and the iQanat Foundation, this large-scale educational initiative offers talented high school students the chance to receive free higher education and develop leadership skills. The project begins in September 2024 and will conclude with a final event in Astana in June 2025.
Qualifying rounds for the project will be held in the following cities:
- Karaganda: September 20, 2024
- Ust-Kamenogorsk: September 24, 2024
- Pavlodar: September 27, 2024
- Petropavlovsk: October 1, 2024
- Kostanay: October 4, 2024
- Uralsk: October 8, 2024
- Aktobe: October 14, 2024
- Aktau: October 17, 2024
- Kyzylorda: October 21, 2024
- Taraz: October 25, 2024
Participants will gain access to free training on the Beginit educational platform and join a leadership development bootcamp in Almaty. They will also have the opportunity to implement real social projects as part of the program.
Top finalists will be awarded grants for educational trips, UNT preparatory courses, and computers. The 20 best students will receive scholarships for free studies at inVision U University.
To apply for the project, students must:
- Be in the 10th grade
- Reside in one of the listed regions
- Complete the application form
- Obtain parental consent for participation
Only those who attend the selection rounds in person will be eligible to participate.
Students who pass the selection will begin their training on the Beginit platform in November 2024. The most successful participants will attend a bootcamp in Almaty in March 2025, where they will receive intensive leadership training. After the bootcamp, finalists will implement social projects in April-May 2025, with the project’s final event taking place in Astana in June 2025.
In the previous season, over 800 applications were submitted, and 37 students reached the final. Seven winners received grants for international trips, UNT preparation, and computers, while 18 students were invited to join the Foundation Year program at inVision U Innovation University by inDrive.
This project aims to foster leadership skills and social initiatives among youth and is being carried out in collaboration with Astana Hub international technology park and the iQanat Foundation.
