The Demo Day of the Astana Innovations Accelerator programme took place at the AI & Digital Bridge 2026 international forum. Seventeen startups presented solutions designed to address the capital’s pressing challenges to representatives of the Astana City Akimat.
“The level of interest in the programme demonstrated that technology teams are eager to work on real urban challenges. Of the 354 applications received, 29 projects were selected for the accelerator, and 18 teams completed the programme. Over 12 weeks, participants worked directly with municipal departments, tested their solutions in real-world environments, refined the challenges they were addressing, and adapted their products to the city’s needs. This experience helps teams not only advance their technologies but also understand the practical value they can deliver and what is required for their further implementation,” said Tanat Uskembayev, Managing Director of Astana Hub.
The projects cover key areas of urban development, including healthcare, education, urban infrastructure and public utilities, transport, security, and technologies for people with limited mobility. They include:
QOLDAM — a digital platform that automates debt collection in the housing and utilities sector and improves utility payment collection rates.
Seer Labs — an AI-powered solution for the early detection of potential failures and emergencies in urban infrastructure based on data from sensors, resident enquiries, and maintenance logs.
ZhanCare.AI — an AI-powered healthcare platform for the initial assessment of symptoms, selecting an appropriate specialist, booking appointments, and accessing telemedicine services.
Jinaq — an AI-powered career guidance platform for school students that provides personalised recommendations on choosing a profession, university, or college.
Taza Kazakhstan — a building façade cleaning service using an industrial drone equipped with an AI-powered stabilisation system.
EpiQ AI — an AI-powered platform for inventory management and forecasting healthcare facilities’ demand for medical supplies and reagents.
Neuralese — a platform for hands-on AI learning that enables users to create and train neural networks without coding.
SkillPass — an AI-powered platform that helps businesses comply with occupational health and safety, fire safety, counterterrorism security, and sanitary requirements.
RIVIXI — an AI-powered platform for predicting failures in utility networks, detecting leaks, and assessing the condition of pipelines.
Tanu.AI — an AI-powered platform for assessing human potential and providing personalised recommendations on education, career choices, and professional development.
EZPECS — an integrated platform for monitoring and supporting children with special educational needs, connecting schools, healthcare and rehabilitation centres, and parents.
AIQALAM — an AI-powered education platform that automates the assessment of written assignments, recognises handwritten text, and analyses academic performance.
APRIL HUB — a platform for the early identification of children’s special educational needs and finding specialists who can support children and their families.
Parkline AI — a digital freight transportation platform integrating electronic transport documents, a freight marketplace, insurance, and financial services.
Úmit — an interactive mouthpiece that allows users to control digital devices and electric wheelchairs through head and tongue movements.
TrafficData — solutions for analysing vehicle and pedestrian flows, creating digital twins of road networks, and forecasting traffic conditions.
EduQuality — an AI-powered platform for education quality management that automates internal monitoring and report preparation.
The teams worked offline in Astana, received individual guidance from programme trackers, participated in workshops, and consulted with industry experts. During working sessions with relevant municipal departments and subordinate organisations, the startups adapted their products to the city’s real needs. In the second half of the programme, participants began actively piloting their solutions within the capital’s public institutions.
Astana Hub and Astana Innovations JSC supported the process by establishing working groups, coordinating engagement with municipal departments, and assisting with the launch of pilot projects.
“When working with startups, it is important for us to consider how new solutions will be used in the day-to-day operations of municipal services. Piloting allows us to assess their capabilities, identify limitations, and determine what improvements are required. Through the involvement of relevant municipal departments, the teams receive clear requirements, while the city has an opportunity to evaluate the technologies before making decisions on their implementation,” said Gizat Amirghali, Chairman of the Management Board of Astana Innovations JSC.
Astana Innovations Accelerator is a joint programme of the Astana City Akimat, Astana Innovations JSC, and Astana Hub. It enables technology teams to adapt their solutions to the capital’s needs and test them in real-world urban environments.
