Kazakhstan has launched the second cohort of Startup Orda 2.0, a regional incubation program aimed at developing IT entrepreneurship and giving anyone the opportunity to launch their own startup in just three months — even without a ready-made idea.
The new cohort is scheduled to begin in September and will cover four cities across Kazakhstan: Shymkent, Semey, Uralsk, and Konaev.
Startup Orda is a practical, free, in-person program implemented through Astana Hub’s regional hubs. It helps aspiring entrepreneurs go through the entire journey from an initial idea to building their first working product (MVP). Participants receive intensive support from trackers and industry experts, take part in hands-on workshops, develop their business models, and validate hypotheses in the real market.
“Startup Orda is designed for those who are just beginning their entrepreneurial journey. We help participants develop the necessary skills and entrepreneurial mindset through practical work, continuous feedback from trackers, and hypothesis testing. At the same time, participants gain not only knowledge but also real opportunities to grow their projects,” said Sagyndyk Nurzhan, Director of Astana Hub’s Regional Development Office.
Startup Orda’s effectiveness is demonstrated not only by statistics but also by the achievements of its alumni, who are already bringing their solutions to market and scaling them across Kazakhstan’s regions.
One example is Puls AI, a startup from Shymkent that has developed an AI-powered personal medical assistant. The startup became part of the Smart City Shymkent initiative, with its solution piloted in 13 public outpatient clinics across the city, where it received positive feedback from healthcare institutions. The project has now entered the commercialization stage, securing a contract with City Polyclinic No. 2.
Another notable example is Zhihaz.kz, a startup from Konaev developing a digital furniture ordering platform for Kazakhstan. The project won first place in the Almaty Region semifinal of the Digital Kazakhstan Battle and became a finalist in the national Digital Kazakhstan competition, demonstrating the strong potential of regional IT projects.
Startup Orda has already proven to be highly востребован among aspiring entrepreneurs. In 2025, the program received 752 applications from 16 regions of Kazakhstan, and 205 startups successfully completed the program.
In 2026, Startup Orda continued its expansion across the regions, with 821 applications submitted from six regions for the first cohort. The program is currently ongoing, and participants are already progressing through its key stages. Over the past two years, a total of 1,573 applications have been submitted to Startup Orda.
Today, Startup Orda is not only helping launch startups — it is cultivating a new generation of technology entrepreneurs capable of building competitive products, driving innovation across Kazakhstan’s regions, and strengthening the country’s position as one of Central Asia’s fastest-growing technology hubs.
Applications are now open and can be submitted through August 23 (inclusive).
