We spoke with Amira, a Tech Orda graduate who successfully transitioned from marketing to Product Management even before completing the program. In the interview, she shared her career journey, the challenges she faced, and how the knowledge she gained now helps her develop B2B products and AI agents.
Amira, what did you do before joining Tech Orda, and where do you work now?
— Before Tech Orda, I worked in marketing and project management, collaborating with major international brands and contributing to venture ecosystem projects. Today, I am a Product Manager at Documentolog, where I develop B2B products and AI agents designed to automate business processes.
Why did you decide to move into IT?
— It was a conscious career decision. I wanted to create products that solve real problems for users. Product Management gave me the opportunity to combine my interest in technology with my previous experience and grow in a new field. Tech Orda helped me structure my knowledge and transition confidently into a new profession.
What was the learning experience like?
— The program lasted six months. There were 104 students in our cohort, and I finished among the top five. The leaderboard was updated every week, motivating us to keep improving. I tried not only to complete the assignments but also to find stronger solutions. Some of my work was presented as an example to the entire cohort.
What I found particularly valuable was the opportunity to apply what I learned in practice right away.
What was the biggest challenge for you?
— The most difficult part was balancing a full-time office job with two courses running simultaneously. After work, I still had lectures, assignments, and tests to complete.
Over those 26 weeks, I once again realised how important discipline, consistency, and the ability to follow through are. I treated the program as an investment in the next stage of my career.
How did Tech Orda influence your career?
— I moved into Product Management before completing the program. By the third month, I had already started taking on product-related tasks at work alongside my primary responsibilities. In the fifth month, I received an offer for a Product Manager position and transferred to another department.
The knowledge I gained through Tech Orda helped me adapt to my new role more quickly.
What are you working on today?
— Today, I develop B2B products and AI agents that automate business processes. I begin by studying how a process works, identifying where difficulties arise, and determining which stages can be automated.
I then decide which tasks can be handled by AI and where human involvement is still necessary. After that, my cross-functional team and I turn these ideas into fully developed product solutions.
What advice would you give to those who are planning to enter the IT industry?
— Choose a profession first and then select a training program. Research the job market and employers’ requirements, talk to industry professionals, and try completing a few real-world tasks before enrolling in a course. This will help you understand whether the chosen field is truly right for you.
And do not underestimate the value of your previous experience. In my case, my background in marketing and project management provided a strong foundation for transitioning into Product Management.
Amira’s story could become yours too. Choose a field that inspires you and apply to Tech Orda — this step could mark the beginning of your career in IT.
