A tour of Astana Hub for Mr. Mattarella was conducted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiyev. During the visit, he presented the hub’s structure and its key areas of activity.
The President was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ambassador of Italy to Kazakhstan, the President’s Advisor on Information and Public Engagement, as well as other officials.
The delegation visited Tomorrow School, an artificial intelligence school. This is the first peer-to-peer AI school in Kazakhstan launched by Astana Hub, operating on the 01 Edu platform developed by French programmer and educator Nicolas Sadirac. Students complete more than 50 projects and study over 20 programming languages, including Golang, Rust, JavaScript, and Python. At the final stage of the program, students choose their specialization: AI engineer, software developer, full-stack developer, mobile application developer, and other tracks.
The Italian delegation was also introduced to projects developed by leading Astana Hub residents — Codiplay, Cybernet, TrustExam, and Axellero. The startups showcased their innovative solutions, which are already being used successfully both in Kazakhstan and internationally.
Astana Hub is the largest innovation cluster in Central Asia, focused on building and developing an ecosystem for tech businesses, training tech specialists, and supporting startup projects. Today, more than 1,700 tech companies are registered in the tech park, including over 460 with foreign participation. They receive comprehensive support, including business development and scaling programs, special tax and visa conditions, informational and educational services, and access to physical infrastructure.
