School students from the Karaganda region will master a leadership program and receive grants for an innovative university

The selection process has begun for the course on social leadership and project activities "Beginit by inDrive." The initiative is being implemented with the support of Astana Hub and Terricon Valley. During the program, experienced business and creative industry leaders will help children unlock their potential and acquire skills to create their own solutions to social issues in the region. Beginit finalists will receive grants for a new innovative university set to open in Almaty.

The information about the opening of inVision U University was presented for the first time by Arsen Tomsky, CEO of inDrive, to the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the plenary session of the international technology forum Digital Bridge. The unique leadership program provides an opportunity for 10th-grade students from the Karaganda region to undergo an educational course and learn to create research and social projects.

"In Karaganda, there has historically been a strong programming school; since Soviet times, our universities have been training good specialists. In the early 2000s, central offices of large companies opened in the city. The IT-Hub 'Terricon Valley' covers training in all universities and colleges of the Karaganda region, with 28 memorandums signed, involving more than 50,000 students. We are grateful for the initiative of Beginit by inDrive because they reach school students and assist in choosing future professions. I hope this initiative will contribute to achieving goals for sustainable development in IT & Digital in the Karaganda region," noted Sabir Niyazov, the regional manager of Astana Hub in the Karaganda region, during a press conference.

The social leadership program will consist of four stages: regional selection tour, educational module, youth camp, and project module. After passing the selection tour, children will go to an educational camp near the foothills of Almaty, where they will meet like-minded peers from the Kostanay, East and West Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, and Zhambyl regions.

"Karaganda is one of the most active and promising cities in Kazakhstan, in terms of IT, digitization, and the quality of specialists. The interest in our social leadership program in your region was the highest; in Karaganda, we closed the application process a week after announcing the start of the program. This indicates significant involvement, ambition, and a desire to create something new and manage changes that will benefit the country. Colleagues from Terricon Valley have done a great job, creating one of the largest and most active regional IT communities. I would like to thank the residents of Karaganda for such a response and look forward to the start of the program to personally meet each of the participants, the future social leaders," said Elena Tropinova, the head of the Beginit by InDrive project.
