Telegram’s built-in web apps — Mini Apps — enable the creation of services, marketplaces, and games that attract more than 500 million users each month. In 2024, the platform launched its own internal currency, Telegram Stars, which app developers can convert into Toncoin. In June 2024, Telegram founder Pavel Durov visited Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiyev. During his visit, he toured Astana Hub, familiarized himself with the cluster’s infrastructure, tech company support programs, and the potential of the local tech market. As a result, Telegram opened an office within Astana Hub.
