Astana Hub Participant Wins 10 Million Tenge Grant for Cloud Technology Development

The Uneet project has emerged as the winner of a startup competition organized by VK Cloud and Rocket Tech, securing a grant of 10 million tenge for cloud resource development. Uneet offers an innovative platform that provides production personnel with access to HR services via mobile and web applications, all powered by artificial intelligence.

"We are very grateful to the jury and VK Cloud for recognizing our product. Currently, we use a local platform, but we aim to transition to a more advanced technological stack. The grant will significantly support our efforts to scale our product across the country, with the goal of having at least 5% of manufacturing companies use our software," said Fatima Lazareva, co-founder of Uneet.

The startup competition was the highlight of a meetup held on September 26 at Astana Hub, Central Asia's largest technology park. Throughout September, startups at various stages — from MVP to mature projects — applied to participate in the pitching session. Three of the top resident startups of Astana Hub were selected to present their ideas to an audience of more than 100 tech entrepreneurs, developers, and engineers.

"Our collaboration with Rocket Tech and Astana Hub allowed us to share our extensive expertise with Kazakhstan’s IT community. At VK Cloud, we are committed to contributing to the development of tech services in the country. By offering a grant for cloud resources, we aim to foster the creation of new technological products," said Dmitry Lazarenko, Product Director at VK Cloud and leader of the SaaS business segment at VK Tech.

"Events like these play a crucial role in Kazakhstan's digital development, offering valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking, and discussing industry best practices," said Daniya Akhmetova, Managing Director of Astana Hub.

During the meetup, leading experts also shared insights on product creation, achieving market fit, and organizing technical support using machine learning. VK Cloud clients who had previously received grants shared their experiences using cloud technologies.
