The innovative educational initiative Tomorrow School is scaling up in the country – the country's first peer-to-peer school in the field of programming and artificial intelligence. The expansion of the school's network is carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State within the framework of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.

Tomorrow School is being implemented Alem.ai Foundation in the ecosystem of Astana Hub and the Center alem.ai based on the international 01 Edu platform developed by Nicolas Sadirac, an innovator in the field of IT education. Today, campuses are being prepared for launch in Pavlodar, Akmola, Kostanay, West Kazakhstan, Turkestan, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Atyrau, Aktobe, Kyzylorda and Zhambyl regions, Abai region and Shymkent city. By the end of the year, the project will be scaled to all regions of the country.
"Scaling Tomorrow School is an investment in the human capital of a new generation and a step in the development of Kazakhstan as a technological nation. On behalf of the Head of State, we are creating an ecosystem in the regions where talents can develop regardless of their place of residence. Our goal is to create a critical mass of specialists capable of creating breakthrough solutions. By investing in such innovative learning formats, we are laying the foundation for a knowledge economy where intelligence and technology are becoming the country's main resource and driver of our global competitiveness," said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Jaslan Madiyev.

The scaling model is based on collaboration: Alem.ai The Foundation develops an educational platform and methodology, while the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana Hub branches and local executive bodies provide infrastructure and operational support. This allows the project to be seamlessly integrated into local ecosystems and accelerate staff training in the regions.
"The opening of Tomorrow School across the country is an important step for the training of IT and AI talents. The initiative has been implemented on the basis of the Astana Hub since 2024 and has already produced results: a strong IT community has been formed, participants are launching startups, winning competitions and already receiving offers from international companies during their studies. Our goal is to make these opportunities accessible to everyone, reduce digital inequality and train a new generation of specialists for the digital economy," said Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub.
The educational model of Tomorrow School differs from the classical formats. There are no teachers or traditional lectures at the school – the training is based on the peer-to-peer principle, where participants simultaneously act as students and mentors. This approach builds the skills of independent thinking, teamwork and responsibility for the result. Education is completely free and accessible to all citizens over the age of 18, including those who are starting their career in IT from scratch. To date, there is a high interest in learning at Tomorrow School: 21,618 applications have been submitted, 12 selection stages have been conducted, 418 students are taking the basic course of study in Astana.
The program covers the full cycle of IT specialist training - from basic skills to professional specialization. Over the course of 18 months, participants complete more than 50 practical projects and master up to 20 programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, Golang and Rust. The training integrates key areas of artificial intelligence – machine and deep learning, data analysis, and computer vision. The program ends with a choice of specialization – from an AI engineer to a cybersecurity specialist.
Scaling up Tomorrow School creates a stable system of training IT and AI specialists in the regions, expands access to modern education and promotes the development of local technological communities, strengthening systematic work on the development of human capital.
