Selection Process Begins in Aktobe for Future Social Leaders

The Aqtobe Hub recently hosted a selection round for Beginit Central Asia by inDrive, an international educational project. This event allowed tenth-graders to demonstrate their skills and apply for free admission to a new university opening in Almaty.

The Beginit project supports talented students from Kazakhstan’s regions, providing quality education and development opportunities. This season, the program spans 10 regions, allowing students to build leadership skills and turn ideas into impactful projects.

The event gathered students from across the Aktobe region, their parents, teachers, Aqtobe Hub’s regional manager Serik Sundetov, and Beginit Central Asia by inDrive project coordinator Samat Sayakov.

“Around 100 students participated in Aktobe, representing both urban and rural schools. Based on the selection results, 60% of participants will advance to the next stage, where they’ll work with mentors on socially significant projects. The top students will be awarded grants for studying at a new university opening in Almaty next year,” explained Samat Sayakov.

During the selection round, students completed tasks to assess their leadership potential, discussed ideas for social projects, and shared their thoughts on current challenges. The top performers will proceed to the next stage, where they’ll further develop their skills and compete for valuable prizes.

This project is implemented by inDrive in partnership with the international technopark Astana Hub and the iQanat Foundation.
