Almaty will host the second Investment Forum Central Eurasian Venture Forum

As part of the forum, the international technopark Astana Hub is organizing the Space Tech Battle, an IT startup competition focused on space technology. The competition offers a prize fund of $15,000, and applications for participation will be accepted until May 20th.

MOST Holding and the Singapore investment platform Investbanq (Paladigm Capital) will hold the Central Eurasian Venture Forum (CEVF) on June 2, 2023, in Almaty. This large-scale event aims to bring together investors and participants in the startup ecosystem. This year, the forum has expanded its reach to cover the entire Central Eurasia region.
The central theme of the forum is "Human Capital in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," highlighting the importance of human talent and skills in organizations. Despite advancements in automation and robotics, smart and talented individuals remain crucial for achieving productivity and competitiveness. This philosophy aligns with the growing startup culture in Central Eurasian countries.

Pavel Koktyshev, the organizer and managing partner of MOST Holding, states, "2023 has been a revolutionary year for the development of artificial intelligence. New technologies have already changed our reality, but the changes will not stop there." He emphasizes that the venture market provides an opportunity for investors to be part of the future and support innovative ideas and projects from talented startups in the Eurasian region, which can be scaled to other developed markets.
“Artificial intelligence brings amazing innovation and opens up new horizons, and by 2030 it could add $15.7 trillion to global GDP. However, technology is useless without talented people. It is human capital that contributes to the evolution of artificial intelligence, allowing it to be at the service of minds and enterprises that strive to change the world for the better. At the CEVF forum, we bring together technology and talents to make the future brighter and more successful," adds Olzhas Zhienkul, co-organizer and founder of Investbanq.

The forum aims to bring together business angels, venture investors, funds, technology startups, corporations, and individuals interested in the venture industry of the region.

In 2022, the venture forum was held in Almaty, attracting 800 participants and becoming the largest event for the Central Asian technology ecosystem. Startups participating in the forum raised $5 million in investments through networking with real investors. Investors also had the opportunity to discover interesting startups and expand their network with institutional players.

In 2023, the forum will feature a special alley dedicated to startups from the countries of Central Eurasia, allowing teams to showcase their advanced technologies and project capabilities.

The forum is supported by the Akimat of the city of Almaty, the Department of Digitalization, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Freedom Broker, Astana Hub, the world leader in the digital payment industry VISA, and the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group (IFC).

The Central Eurasian Venture Forum will take place on June 2 at the Swissôtel Wellness Alatau Almaty hotel (former Alatau sanatorium) on Tausamaly Street, 50A. Tickets for the forum and startup participation on the alley can be purchased on the official website: https://ventureforum.asia/
