On August 28, Almaty hosted the Demo Day of the 7th batch of Silkway Accelerator, Astana Hub’s flagship acceleration program implemented jointly with Google for Startups with the support of the Akimat of Almaty.
In 2026, the program was held in Almaty for the first time at Almaty Hub. Over the course of 12 weeks, participants worked on their products, business models, sales, and international scaling strategies.
At Demo Day, 10 finalists presented their projects to investors, venture capital funds, business angels, and corporate partners.
“Silkway Accelerator is a tool that helps technology companies grow faster, expand beyond their local markets, and build businesses with global ambitions. It is particularly important that this year the program was held in Almaty for the first time. The teams’ results - new markets, contracts, sales, and business model transformations - demonstrate the scaling potential of startups from Kazakhstan and Central Eurasia,” said Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub.
During the acceleration program, participants expanded into nine countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Armenia, the UAE, Australia, and the United States. The total value of new contracts and deals exceeded $15 million, while presales reached $30 million.
One of the key outcomes of Demo Day was investment interest from Astana Hub Ventures: the fund provided a $200,000 soft commitment to AMAN and a $100,000 soft commitment to AURA OS.

AMAN - $200,000 Soft Commitment from Astana Hub Ventures
AMAN is an AI-powered security system that detects incidents and enables rapid response through integration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and other relevant authorities. During the acceleration program, the team progressed from its first pilots to securing contracts with universities in Kazakhstan, the UAE, and other countries.

AURA OS - $100,000 Soft Commitment from Astana Hub Ventures
AURA OS is an AI platform for analyzing companies’ operational data and identifying hidden losses and risks. During the program, it acquired new clients in four additional countries.
“Almaty has significant potential for the development of technology entrepreneurship and the growth of innovative companies. Hosting Silkway Accelerator in the city for the first time demonstrated that Almaty can become an important hub for technology companies, investors, and international experts. Programs like this not only help entrepreneurs enter new markets but also strengthen Almaty’s position as one of the region’s technology centers,” said Nurqanat Sabituly, Head of the Digitalization Department of Almaty.
Other results from the batch include TIRGO doubling its GMV from $35,000 to $70,000, WelcomeVideo closing $100,000 in deals, and QazTracker undergoing a complete transformation into an AgriTech solution for monitoring animal health and safety. The team is currently in talks to launch pilots in Australia and the United States.
“For us, participating in Silkway Accelerator became a major turning point for the project. We reconsidered our product and strategy, entered new markets, and launched pilots and partnerships. Demo Day gives us an opportunity to continue this journey through partnerships, investment, and further scaling,” said Aruzhan Mede, Founder & CEO of AMAN.
“Hosting Silkway Accelerator in Almaty demonstrated just how strong the demand is for opportunities that bring together startups, international experts, investors, and large businesses. It is important for us to continue developing this ecosystem, attracting international teams, and helping local startups expand into global markets,” said Aida Dussova, Director of Almaty Hub.
Over the years, Silkway Accelerator alumni have raised more than $48 million in investment, while the combined valuation of participating companies has exceeded $500 million. Today, program alumni are scaling their products across the United States, the UAE, Türkiye, and other markets.
Holding the seventh batch in Almaty marked a new stage in the development of the regional startup ecosystem, bringing together technology companies, investors, and international expertise.
