The presentation took place at Astana Hub and brought together key representatives of the venture ecosystem and the IT community. The publication is based on real cases from Cerebra, Hero’s Journey, Invictus, and Yassa, as well as the authors’ experience, which includes more than 30 investments, participation in dozens of boards of directors worldwide, and analysis of thousands of startups.
The core idea of the book is that the quality of a board of directors is one of the key factors determining a startup’s growth. According to the authors, in the startup environment the culture and practice of working with boards are still poorly developed, which leads to mistakes that could be avoided. The book shows that a board of directors is a growth tool rather than a formality: a properly structured board accelerates achieving product–market fit, strategic development, and sales growth.
The publication will serve as a practical guide for founders, top managers, and investors and is available in Kazakh and English.
