Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub, presented the concept of the center and its importance for the digital transformation of education in Kazakhstan to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The event became part of the initiatives implemented within the framework of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan.
"Artificial intelligence is becoming a key priority of Kazakhstan's technological development, which makes the early development of digital skills among young people especially important. TUMO Astana implements a smart approach that allows not just to teach, but to involve children and form a sustained interest in knowledge. Every child's potential is limitless, and TUMO Astana has created a unique environment that keeps this interest alive and encourages teenagers to find solutions and develop future skills. The opening of the center in Astana is an important step in the development of human capital and the integration of Kazakhstan into the global educational community. In the near future, we plan to launch branches in Almaty, Aktobe and the Akmola region, as well as the development of the TUMO Classroom format in the regions to ensure equal access to modern educational opportunities for teenagers across the country," Magzhan Madiyev added.
TUMO Astana provides free education for teenagers aged 12 to 18 years without entrance requirements and teaches from scratch. The educational program of the center is based on the international TUMO model and is aimed at forming a new generation of technological leaders in Kazakhstan. The project is implemented by a non-profit corporate foundation Alem.ai The Foundation is managed by Astana Hub and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"We are pleased to introduce the innovative TUMO educational model in Kazakhstan, opening our first center in Central Asia. This partnership with Astana Hub is an important milestone in our global mission to provide teenagers with the digital and creative skills they need for the world of the future. TUMO Astana will provide local youth with access to a world-class educational program that has already changed the lives of more than 100,000 students worldwide. Kazakhstan's visionary approach to the development of digital education is consistent with TUMO's vision, and we look forward to becoming an integral part of the country's innovative educational ecosystem," said TUMO Development Director Pegor Papazyan.
The center is designed to train up to 5,000 students annually. Students have access to 11 technical and creative areas, including generative artificial intelligence, programming, game development, animation, 3D modeling, robotics, graphic and motion design, web development, filmmaking and digital music.
