The primary aim of these regional IT hubs is to foster innovative projects in the regions and train professionals in the field of information technology. These platforms also serve as spaces for local IT communities, bringing together startups, investors, and mentors.

During the incubation period for startup projects, individuals receive training in entrepreneurship, assistance in securing investments, financial management, and more.

"A community manager is currently operating in all regions, responsible for developing the activities of IT hubs and organizing various events. Webinars in partnership with Digital Nomads and meetups from Google Dev are actively held in the regions. Olympiads and hackathons are taking place. To date, regional hubs have hosted 300 events with more than 7,000 participants," noted Aida Dusova, Director of the Regional Development Office of the international tech park Astana Hub.

The development of regional IT hubs is one of the priority tasks for Astana Hub. The goal is to open 14 regional IT hubs across the country this year.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted the importance of expanding the innovation ecosystem at the regional level while delivering an address to the people of Kazakhstan titled "The Economic Course of a Just Kazakhstan" during a joint session of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It's worth noting that, initiated by the State Corporation for the Development of Information Technology and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the support of Astana Hub and local executive bodies, IT hubs have opened in 11 regions of Kazakhstan since the beginning of the year. These include Abai IT Valley (Semey), Kyzylorda Hub (Kyzylorda), Digital Jetisu (Taldykorgan), Zhambyl Hub (Taraz), Oskemen IT Hub (Oskemen), Jaiq Hub (Uralsk), Turkistan IT Hub (Turkistan), Aqtobe IT Hub (Aktobe), Qostanai It Hub (Kostanay), Aqmola IT Hub (Kokshetau), and Pavlodar Hub (Pavlodar).
